Project Events

Hullo everyone,

We've got cool activities lined up for you during the Project's timeline;
You could participate in the Organizing Committees or just send us Ideas on how to make these events superb.


ICT Companies Exhibition

This event will be graced with the participation of some of the TOP ICT Companies (Local, Regional and International) in Uganda. These companies will showcase there latest ICT advancements to hit the market to a population of about 150 spectators.This event will run for three days and will climax with the swITch Project. The public will be given an opportunity to interract with these exhibiting companies and for those who may still be interested in participating in the swITch project, the opportunity will still be open during the event.


The Projet's Launch

This event starts on 5th June 2010. It is during this event that the project's flow will be showcased, all participating parties will be recognized and a brief press conference will held to further recognize our sponsors and participants. The ceremony will end with a mini cocktail party to make the guests and interns feel at home.


City tour

This event will be organized by the AIESEC in Uganda members during the week end of the 6th & 7th June 2010. Selected members will give the interns a tour of the city using any preferred means of transportation so that these interns learn how to easily find their way around Kamplala city and back to their areas of residence. This tour will climax with a visit to "Ndere Centre", a place where the various cultural dances of Uganda will be performed. This experience is designed to welcome our dear interns to our beautiful country.."the pearl of Africa".



Closing Ceremony

The ceremony will run towards the end of August; 20th August 2010 to be precise. During the event, various presentations will be held by the various stakeholders and special participation from some of the High school students, local teachers, representatives of the board of Experts and partner companies of the project. Competitions based on the curriculum taught will be held by student partcipants and the best teams will be awarded during the ceremony. The other participants of the event will be awarded certificates and awards for outstanding performance will equally be held.


Study tour

The interns and swITch team members will be awarded a study tour for the hardwork and dedication put in to make the project a success by our main sponsor; Uganda Souts Association to travel around the country and visit the different camping sites. The most I can say regarding this event is that it will be more than exciting... :-)
